Progress is really starting to show

Posted on Thursday, August 25, 2016

After just a few short months over winter, construction progress is really taking off at the terraces in Millwater Central. The architecture is starting to take shape as the final design of the building is revealed more and more each day.

Recent progress is on track and the next few months will see some key milestones reached:

  • All precast concrete flat slabs are now in place
  • Timber framing has commenced and progressing well for units 1-21, as well as units 26-33
  • All pre nailed framing will be on site by early September, with the aim to have it all in place towards the end of September
  • Roofing will commence in the next few weeks

Selected opportunities for retail space are still available:

9 of the 14 retail units have been leased or sold to owner occupier businesses, meaning there are only 5 retail units remaining. If you would like to see any particular businesses within Millwater Central or know of any businesses looking in the area, we are happy to discuss the opportunity with them.

Reminder: completion of the terraces is now anticipated for Febuary-March 2017.

With the construction industry under a lot of pressure and Council delays with consents, we are still expecting completion early next year.

Once again, the photos and video show just how much progress there has been, so please take a few moments to check out a selection of recent shots below, or view more in the gallery on our website.

Until next time,

  • finish concrete floors for the retail and basement areas
  • continue with the podium slab floor and preparation for houses
  • Completion of the terraces is now anticipated for Febuary-March 2017.
